Congratulations to Rick Nickerson and Dylan Freeman for being our top bowlers for our 2015 Bowl-a-thon!! Thanks to everyone who donated, bowled, and cheered on the bowlers. Great meal together after.

2015 Hancock County Food Drive!

The Ellsworth United Methodist Church is a food collection drop off spot for the 2015 collection.  Please help by bringing food items to church by Sunday March 29th!!

Food items most needed are: Whole grain pasta, soups, rice, peanut butter, pasta, canned meats, canned tuna, canned vegetables and canned fruit.

Recyclable COLLECTION

A reminder to everyone we have an ongoing Clynk bottle redemption program.

Please pick up a clynk green bag in the coffee room at the church. Simply put the EUMC sticker ( provided) on the green bag, fill with your returnables and take the bag to your nearest Hanford’s. All proceeds benefit our church general fund.

Box Tops for Mechuwana

Please save and bring to church all box tops for education labels. We are collecting to benefit Camp Mechuwana – the umc camp in Winthrop, me. The collection box is located on the table at the back of the sanctuary .

Sunday March 22, 2015 –  donation ticket will be available on the table, at the back of the sanctuary, to pick up food donations ideas for an Easter Dinner to be donated to Next Step. Please help by taking one or more tickets and bringing your items on Sunday March 29th.

TRUSTEES CONTINUE PAINT PROJECT

February 1st everyone is asked to help!

Immediately following worship we will be moving

furniture to prepare to paint the floor in the basement area.

February 7th workers will be cleaning the basement floor in the morning.

February 10th-12th The floor will be painted.

Located in the church coffee room, are envelopes with information to use clink to collect returnables for our Church general fund.

2015 BOWL-A-THON

Bowlers, Pledgers, Cheerleaders are needed!  Plan to join us after bowling at Denny’s Restaurant at 5:00PM for dinner.

This is our major fund raiser for the winter. If you are planning to bowl please use the pledge sheet to get as many pledges as possible. If you are a cheerleader please consider pledging a bowler or two.

4th Annual Hancock County-Wide Food Drive March 2015

Food is distributed to 11 pantries in Hancock County.  Bulk food items that are donated will be distributed to 6 community meal sites. This is a very worthwhile Month collection. The Ellsworth United Methodist Church is a collection site. Please make an extra effort to bring non perishable food items during the Month of March.

A reminder 

Loaves and Fishes Food Pantry donation envelopes are located at the back of the sanctuary area. The Pantry is able to buy a lot more food per pound with money donations!!

The Emmaus Center is asking for help!!

The center has given us a wish list for items needed by residents. 

Food: peanut butter, jelly, Ramen noodles, salad dressings, Mayonnaise,box macaroni, margarine, 

Cleaning Products: latex free gloves, dish and Laundry

Paper products: plastic wrap, aluminum foil, freezer bags, paper towels, trash bags, dryer sheets.

Personal Care Items

Batteries, plastic twin mattress covers, diapers, alcohol free cold medications.

Informative Eggs and Exchange Breakfast

She is part of the the UMC West Virginia Mission Trip. The mission group is made up of members from the Presque Isle UMC, Orland UMC, Green Street UMC and other UM members. They travel to areas that are in need of help. Wonderful mission and we all appreciated the yummy breakfast and informative presentation.

Gingerbread House Sale

Successful Gingerbread house Sale!!!

Thanks to a lot of hard work, beautiful gingerbread house kits were made and sold this holiday season. They are not only pretty but taste good too!!! Thanks ladies for all your hard work on this very successful project.
