Summertime brings visitors to EUMC

One of our favorite parts of living in Downeast Maine, besides the natural beauty, the friendly people and the obvious other spiritual and physical blessings, is the number of new friends we get to make every summer.

Visitors find us from far and wide – from the east coast, west coast, and everywhere in between. Last week we welcomed a couple RV’ing from Santa Fe, New Mexico. The week before, we met some folks from Ohio. Then there was Tennessee, California, Massachusetts…and it’s only mid-June!

Our goal is to make all of our visitors feel welcome, and hope that they enjoy the time they spend with us. We certainly enjoy learning about who they are and where they come from.

That gives me an idea: wouldn’t it be cool to be able to see where all our visitors come from at a glance? I think it’s time for a map and some push pins! We’ll hang it in the entryway, and as folks come in, they can put a pin on where they’re visiting from. How fun will that be??

So if you’re visiting us this summer – look for the map. If you know of someone that’s coming to the area that might be looking for a Methodist church to worship with on a Sunday during their vacation, send them to Ellsworth United Methodist. They’re always welcome, as are you.

‘Til next time,
– Geo Grrrl (Amy)
