About Our Church

The members of our small congregation feel we are called to be “mighty mustard seeds” along the coast of Maine. We are blessed to have many vacationers visit our church and we urge you to make us your worship home while you are in the area. If you are seeking a new church home, we welcome the opportunity to share our worship and friendship as we grow in the spirit together.

– What to expect –
Our Sunday Morning worship begins at 11:00 AM and is an hour-long service. During the school year Sunday School classes are held during worship each Sunday, beginning after “Time for the Young at Heart,” and running ’til just before the Offertory. On the third Sunday of each month, we usually have an ‘Eggs and Exchange” Breakfast.  Breakfasts begin at 9:30AM and a speaker from a service organization shares their program, beginning at 10:00AM. All are welcome to attend the breakfast and presentation.  These presentations allow those present to learn about organizations in the community that provide services and find out how help can be given to these service organizations. Check our website or our Facebook page for announcements regarding upcoming breakfasts.

– Parking – There is parking at the side of the church and two parking lots at the back of the church.

– Atmosphere – Please ”come as you are” – dress however you like. At our church, you will see jeans *and* three-piece suits!

– Outdoor Sanctuary – We have a sweet outdoor sanctuary spot on the lawn to the left of the church, with a bench, a  homemade birch bark cross and some flowers. It’s a perfect spot for some quiet reflection while enjoying God’s natural gifts. This outdoor worship area is dedicated to Ms. Winny, a long-time member of our congregation who passed away recently.

– Children – A children’s story is incorporated into the main worship service – we call it “Time for the Young at Heart.” Often, our adults participate just as much as any children who are present do. We do not have a nursery service at present. Folks are invited to enjoy coffee and refreshments before and after the worship service.

– How we share our gifts – We support many local organizations, including:

  • Emmaus Center
  • Family’s First
  • Flood buckets projects for Hurricane victims
  • Holiday support for needy families in the local area
  • Loaves and Fishes
  • Domestic Violence prevention
  • Habitat for Humanity
