Ellsworth United Methodist Church

The Ellsworth United Methodist Church is pleased to welcome Pastor Jim Boughman as their new pastor.

Pastor Jim has been a licensed Local Pastor since 2004 and has had the pleasure to preach from many pulpits. He recently served as Pastor at the Grace Linn Memorial United Methodist Church in Hartland, Maine. Before beginning to serve in the ministry he worked as a Corporate Operations manager in publishing among other professions throughout his life. 

Pastor Jim says “he is very comfortable living in hooded sweatshirts and shorts all year and simply being called ‘Pastor Jim’.” He also states that he believes ministry is carried out by everyone, at all times and in all opportunities not just for those in the role of Pastor and Clergy. Ministers are what we are as we go about spreading the ‘good news’ we so strongly profess.

Pastor Jim says he is extremely excited about getting to know all of the people at the Ellsworth United Methodist Church and to meet and be with the people of the community. He tells the congregation he looks forward to sharing life in ministry together.

Pastor Jim and his wife Ellen live in Bucksport, Maine. He has 3 children and 2 grandchildren.

The Ellsworth United Methodist Church is located at 21 Hancock Street in Ellsworth. Their Worship gathering begins at 11:00 AM each Sunday. All are welcome.
